Tin Fingers is an alternative indie rock band from Antwerp, Belgium, known for their melancholic sound—always delivered with a twist. The band consists of Felix Machtelinckx (who often sings live with Arsenal), Marnix Van Soom, Simen Wouters (Aaron Koch, Valse Muziek), and Quinten De Cuyper (Calicos, Shy Dog). Since their emergence on the scene, the band has evolved through a series of bold sonic transformations while maintaining a distinct lyrical and emotional core.

They introduced themselves in 2017 with the No Hero EP (Waste My Records), showcasing a catchy, vintage alt-pop style that quickly resonated within Belgium’s indie cult scene. Singles like ‘Boy Boy’ and ‘Young Mother’ became radio favorites, and their first major tour culminated in an intense, colorful show at Pukkelpop.

Their debut full-length album, Groovebox Memories (V2 Records, 2021), marked a significant evolution in their sound. Blending electronic textures with retro influences, the record demonstrated the band’s growing confidence in songwriting and production. The single 'Fomo for Kids' gained significant radio play, marking a breakthrough moment.

In 2023, Rock Bottom Ballads (Unday Records) saw Tin Fingers take a darker, more introspective turn. Felix’s weeping vocals, laden with existential questioning and spiritual searching, became the emotional centerpiece. Recorded with first takes and no overdubs, the album leaned into minimal indie folk—poetic, calm, and raw—with haunting piano lines and rich melodies emphasizing purity and simplicity.

With their third album, Balconies, Tin Fingers radically raised the stakes. Recorded over a few intense, sweltering days at The Old Carpet Factory in Greece, the band stripped their sound to its core. While previous work leaned into introspection, Balconies bursts with energy—sharp, uptempo songs that feel raw, urgent, and tailor-made for the stage. It’s Tin Fingers at their loudest and most powerful, capturing the heat of the recording sessions and transforming it into a fierce live identity.
